I believe it’s important for everyone – not just kids – to have an understanding of and appreciation for the beauty and wonder found right outside your door. We need to dispel the notion that the commonplace animals, plants and habitats are somehow less important than pandas, coral reefs, and tropical rainforests – it’s all important!

Jeff is Wildlife Learning Company's primary program delivery staffperson and the most visible since he is 'around and about' throughout the region with many of our live animal programs! Jeff is an excellent educator and is able to relay information to audiences of all ages in a fun and meaningful manner. A federal and state licensed wildlife rehabilitator, Jeff is also a primary caretaker of our live animal teaching collection (although we prefer to refer to them as our animal staff)! Jeff enjoys hiking and birdwatching in our region's natural settings, as well as via canoe. He also takes an interest in local government (particularly in regards to planning and development) and hopes to eventually play an official role at some point in the future.
